The Nevis
Association of Washington DC (NEV-DC) will strive to
promote economic, educational, technological, social and
cultural advancement of Nevisians and their descendants at
home and abroad.

November 8, 2003 saw the
founding of Nevisian Association of Washington DC (NEV-DC). The
organization was founded as a number of Nevisians in the
Washington DC area, at the invitation of Everton (Swagga)
Elliot, pledged to come together with the objective of creating
an organization which will create a positive impact on the lives
of Nevisians at home and abroad. The mission statement of The
Nevis Association of Washington DC (NEV-DC) is: The Nevis
Association of Washington DC (NEV-DC) will strive to promote
economic, educational, technological, social and cultural
advancement of Nevisians and their descendants, at home and
abroad. With the objective of fulfilling this mission, the
organization wishes to engage Nevisian organizations at home and
abroad in being actively involved in issues that affect the
island of Nevis.
NEV-DC is a non-partisan organization, and has no interest in
supporting any political party or organization in Nevis. NEV-DC
is, however, interested in issues affecting Nevis, and vows to
always act in the interest of Nevis, regardless of which
political party supports said issues. Membership in NEV-DC is
open to Nevisians, their descendants, and other persons and
organizations having an interest in the advancement of Nevis and
Nevisians. Anyone wishing to join the organization may contact

Donations and funds received throughout
the year help to further the NEV-DC’s mission of promoting economic, social
educational, technological, and cultural advancement of Nevisians at home
and abroad.
Computers for the High Schools in Nevis is
one such program.
